In honor of International Women’s Day, this article is written for the women that have the most influence in modern day times. The list shows and gives you, “the reader,” a better understanding and perspective of how these great ladies impact our lives on a day to day basis.
In todays society, the modern day woman has become an influential presence. These powerful ladies have transcended not only American culture, but more so the world’s culture to some degree. These contemporary women give females of younger ages, something to strive for.
Michelle Obama is the epitome of a great woman. Not only being America’s First Lady; she has transcended the times with her presence, passion, and appeal. The 52 year old African American is well educated and has a Bachelor of Science from Princeton University and Doctor of Jurisprudence from Harvard. She has pushed for better education and financial stability in Southeast Asia, fought to end homelessness for American Veterans, and pushed for healthier lifestyles among the school systems. Mrs.Obama also has gotten pop culture appeal for her savvy style of dress.
Hillary Clinton is also a former First Lady of the U.S. and is currently the Democratic front runner in this year’s Presidential debate. The 68 year old from Chappagua, NY is the first and only First Lady to be a U.S. Senator. Mrs. Clinton has also had a best selling memoir back in 2014 named ” Hard Choices.” With a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Yale and a Bachelor of Arts at Wellesley College; she continuous to capture our attentions and get things done.
Lucy Peng is a business savvy expert. The 43 year old from Hangzhou, China is Alibaba’s most powerful and popular woman. She is a founding member of Ant Financial in China. Her executive presence at Alipay, (China’s Paypal Version). The savvy executive is one of the most powerful business women in the world today.
As you can see, these are just a few of the influencers in todays society. These wonderful female leaders are all diverse and have different upbringing and educational backgrounds. Let’s dig a bit deeper with a few more.

She’s also a philanthropist and fights for human rights. The 62 year old “Queen of Media” is an actress, director, producer, and personality. The ultimate safe-made billionaire.
Angelina Jolie is one of the most famous female actresses and philanthropist in the world. She’s a mastermind at using her Hollywood presence to direct attention to human rights issues. She has made many trips to Asia and Africa to inspire and build awareness impoverished nations.
Queen Elizabeth II is the world’s oldest monarch. The 89 year old Queen isn’t in the public view much, but her presence can be felt throughout the British Colony. She’ll soon make British history becoming the longest reigning monarch.
These strong women are at the forefront of today’s society and continuous to be a positive role model for women of all ages across the board. Teaching knowledge, respect, well-being, business, and health; Their impact is very profound.
