One-Bite Flossing

If you visit your dentist regularly, there’s one question you expect to hear at every appointment: “Are you flossing regularly?” Flossing has long been regarded by dental care professionals as critical for good oral hygiene and dental health. While brushing is essential, a toothbrush just cannot get in between your teeth to remove stuck food and plaque. None of this is controversial.

The real problem is that people do not like to floss. It’s time-consuming, messy and rather unpleasant. But what if you could floss in one easy movement? That’s the idea behind Blizzident’s new one-bite floss tool. It may look a bit medieval at first, but we think the company is onto something rather special. Blizzident calls it the 3-D Flosser.

What Is the 3D Flosser?

It’s a custom-shaped device that fits easily into your mouth and has a series of channels that are strung with floss. This one-bite flossing device looks like a mouthguard with a series of floss lines woven through it. It’s made of a soft but resilient BPH-free rubber that keeps its shape as it moves gently over the teeth and gums.

Fully Customized Flossing

If you’re wondering how the 3D Flosser can be customized to fit any mouth, you’re not alone. Blizzident uses 3D-printing technology to create a device that matches your bite exactly. This means you won’t have to cope with some prefab design when you bite down on the flosser. You’ll get the strings in all the right spots every time.

How Do You Use It?

After you get your customized flosser from the 3D-printing lab, you simply string it up, insert the mouth-shaped piece into your mouth and bite down until all of the floss strings find a place between your teeth. Then you just move it around like you would a single piece of floss.

The magic of the 3D Flosser is that you get it all done with just one bite and a bit of a wiggle. Gone are the days of meticulously searching out every space between your teeth, getting bits of plaque all over your hands and face, trying to decide how long of a string you should use and all the other hassle that comes with ordinary flossing.

When you finish flossing, you just pull out the used portion of floss, throw it away and pull a new length of fresh floss through the device. What could be simpler?

Flossing is critical for good oral health, but if you hate flossing, you just won’t do it. The 3D Flosser will change all that.
