Wearing All White – The Myth Behind The Fashion Rule
Wearing all white may be a fashion statement that you want to avoid, but one place that white never goes out of style is a white smile.
You can’t wear white after Labor Day – Says Who?
The old adage “you can’t wear white after Labor Day” is just that, an old adage. If you want to wear white any time of the year, do so! That old adage comes from the bygone era where people dressed more formally and in the hot summers white was simply cooler. It also was a status symbol for the wealthy summer vacationers, and once Labor Day passed, they were back to work and put away their whites.
White represents purity, perfection and cleanliness. We feel good when we wear white, even if it ‘isn’t our color’. While wearing white can give us a feeling of confidence, peace and calm, if we wear too much, the outfit may come across as being detached or cold, and give the impression that you are isolated. In today’s fashion industry, white is considered appropriate to wear all year, though you surely would not want to wear a white dress to a wedding. White shirts have always been in style for men, and a white blouse is a wardrobe staple for many women.

Wear white everyday!
A white smile can be worn all year and never goes out of style. There are many tricks for keeping those pearly whites sparkling.

Some other tips
Do-it-yourself teeth whitening
If your teeth just need a little brightening, try whitening strips and toothpaste. They are economical and work well for a smile that has just a little staining. Good old baking soda mixed with hydrogen peroxide can also boost your whiteness factor.
Prevent stains
Avoiding foods and drinks that cause the stains in the first place is best, but not always practical. Coffee, tea, red wine, colas and berries are all on the list of the top causes of teeth stains. It is wise to brush as soon as possible after eating or drinking these.
Dental hygiene
Visit your dentist on a regular basis, and make sure you brush your teeth at least twice a day (preferably after each meal). Don’t forget to floss!
Acid Neutralizers
Celery, apples, pears and carrots are acid neutralizers and will trigger saliva that will help clean your teeth between brushing.
